STAT library is a decentralised library. The library’s catalogue is made up of people’s personal “flagged” bookshelves. Anyone can add their books to the library and anyone can arrange to borrow.

Each item within the catalogue is displayed alongside the owner’s contact details and their chosen borrowing arrangements. Borrowers can then contact owners to arrange a lending.

If both of you are able and comfortable doing so, you can meet up to make the lend in person. If not, publications can be posted (a cost usually less than buying the book yourself). In whatever case, the lend is between borrower and owner only and so any agreements on postage / payment / return dates remain the responsibility of just these two parties.
